Eligibility & Age Requirements

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use the App. Certain features have higher age requirements: the optional facial / event-photo-matching feature and the interest questionnaire and the group chats and member visibility it powers are available only to users 18 and older.

If you are 16 or 17, you may use the general features of the App, including seeded topic group chats open to all members and the business directory, with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf, but you may not use the 18+ features described above.

By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

Your Account

To use most features you must create an account using your name, date of birth, city and state, and either an email address or a mobile phone number, or by signing in with Google or Apple.

Where we offer a third-party sign-in such as Google, we also offer a privacy-respecting option, Sign in with Apple, on Apple devices.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@aftersunday.church if you suspect unauthorized use.

License to Use the App

Subject to these Terms, AfterSunday grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on a device you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use within the NAM community.

You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from the App, or remove any proprietary notices, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.

Your Content

The App lets you post content: prayer requests, feed posts, comments, chat messages, photos, and audio, referred to as your “Content.” You retain ownership of your Content.

You grant AfterSunday and NAM a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, and display your Content solely to operate and provide the App, including showing it to the community and administrators you intend to reach.

You are solely responsible for your Content and confirm you have the rights to post it.

Objectionable Content & Abusive Behavior

AfterSunday and NAM maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior in the community feed, chat, prayer requests, profiles, and every other social feature of the App.

There is no warning quota: a single serious violation can result in immediate content removal and account termination.

We provide tools to report any content, message, or user, and to block other users. We will review reports of objectionable content and, where warranted, remove the content and remove the offending user within 24 hours of receiving a report. Blocked users are hidden from your chats and interactions.

Acceptable Use Policy

Your use of the App is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. Among other things, you agree that you will not, and will not allow others to, use the App or its social features to:

• Post or share content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, bullying, threatening, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, or that promotes violence, self-harm, or discrimination.
• Post content that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits minors in any way.
• Impersonate any person, clergy member, or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Harass, stalk, intimidate, or invade the privacy of other users, including sharing someone else’s private information.
• Post spam, scams, chain messages, solicitations, or unauthorized advertising.
• Upload viruses or malicious code, or attempt to disrupt, overload, hack, or reverse-engineer the App.
• Scrape, harvest, or collect other users’ data without consent.
• Infringe the intellectual-property or other rights of any person.
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, at our discretion.

Reporting & Blocking

Every piece of user content and every user profile includes a way to report it. To report content or a user, use the in-App report control or email support@aftersunday.church.

You can block any user from their profile; blocked users cannot message or interact with you in the App. When you submit a report, we record the reason, the content or user reported, your identifier as reporter, and a timestamp so our moderation team can act.

AI Features & Disclaimer

The App includes AI-generated content. The in-App AI assistant (“Jana,” the AI Community Manager) is powered by third-party AI providers acting as our service providers under contract.

Your interactions with the assistant are processed by those providers solely to generate responses for you and are not used by them for their own purposes or to train their models on your data, except as needed to provide the service to us. See our Privacy Policy for details.

AI responses are automated and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. They are provided for general informational and community-support purposes only and are not spiritual direction, counseling, or legal, medical, or financial advice.

Always confirm important matters with your clergy or a qualified professional. Every AI reply includes a way to report or flag it, and we apply server-side filters and controls designed to prevent harmful, deceptive, sexual, or self-harm content. You use AI features at your own discretion and risk.

Connecting With Members

The App helps you discover and connect with other members through the member directory, search, “Shared Roots,” group chats, the business directory, and an optional interest questionnaire.

If you are 18 or older and choose to complete the interest questionnaire, the App uses your answers to suggest interest-based group chats you may choose to join. Completing the questionnaire also makes you visible to other members who have completed it, including a “Shared Roots” view of what you and another member have in common, and members may start group or private messages with one another.

Separately, the App offers seeded topic group chats that any member may choose to join. Group suggestions and “Shared Roots” are generated automatically by software based on information members provide. They are suggestions and connection tools only — not introductions, references, endorsements, or vetting by AfterSunday or NAM.

AfterSunday and NAM do not conduct background checks, identity verification, or any other screening of members, and nothing the App surfaces is a representation that any member is safe, suitable, or who they claim to be.

You are solely responsible for your own interactions with other members, including which group chats you join, whom you message, what you share, and any decision to communicate or meet outside the App. You should exercise normal caution and personal-safety precautions when interacting with people you do not know.

The interest questionnaire and the visibility, group chats, and messaging it powers are available only to users 18 and older.

Member-to-Member Dealings, Listings & Business Directory

The App includes a business directory where members may list themselves as a business or freelancer and share contact information and a portfolio. These listings are provided by members, for member-to-member discovery only.

The App does not facilitate hiring, contracts, escrow, or payment, and no payment is processed through the App for these listings.

Any dealings, communications, services, hiring, meetings, or transactions between members, including any engagement with a listed business or freelancer, and any contact, relationship, or arrangement that results from a group chat, private message, “Shared Roots,” or directory listing, are solely between the members involved.

AfterSunday and NAM are not a party to those dealings, do not vet, verify, endorse, license-check, or guarantee any member, business, freelancer, listing, qualification, or work product, and are not responsible or liable for them.

You engage with other members and with listed businesses or freelancers at your own risk, and you are responsible for doing your own due diligence, including verifying credentials, insurance, and licensing, before hiring or paying anyone.

You must list only yourself or a business you are authorized to represent, and your listing must be accurate and comply with the Acceptable Use Policy. Listing in the business directory is available to members 16 and older.

Donations & Payments

If the App offers giving, donations, ticketing, or other purchases, NAM is the recipient and merchant of record for those transactions, which are processed by a third-party payment processor under its own terms.

AfterSunday facilitates processing on NAM’s behalf and does not collect or store your full card details. Donations are generally non-refundable except as required by law or NAM’s policies.

Any subscription or services agreement between AfterSunday and NAM is separate from these Terms and does not affect your rights as an end user.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its software, design, text, graphics, and the AfterSunday and NAM names and logos, is owned by AfterSunday, NAM, or their licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws.

Except for the limited license in Section 3, these Terms grant you no rights in our intellectual property.

Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services including cloud hosting, AI providers, messaging providers, a payment processor, Google Maps Platform, Google Sign-In, and Sign in with Apple.

Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services and do not endorse their content.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use and protect it, including a dedicated section on facial/biometric data with separate opt-in consent and our standalone Biometric Data Policy.

By using the App you acknowledge our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Suspension, Termination & Account Deletion

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the App or other users.

You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account in the App. If you cannot access the App, email support@aftersunday.church with the subject “Delete My Account.”

Deleting your account permanently removes your server-side account data, your face template, and your chat and user-generated content, except limited information we must keep to comply with law.

Sections that by their nature should survive, for example intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution, continue after termination.

Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that content, including AI output and user content, is accurate or reliable.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AfterSunday, NAM, and their affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, goodwill, or profits, arising from your use of the App.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim or USD $100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AfterSunday, NAM, and their affiliates from any claims, damages, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your Content, your use of the App, your dealings, interactions, meetings, or messages with other members, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

This includes any member surfaced to you through the questionnaire, “Shared Roots,” a group chat, or the business directory, and any business or freelancer you engage through the directory, whether online or in person.

Disputes, Arbitration & Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

Binding Arbitration

Except for claims that qualify for small-claims court and requests for injunctive relief to protect intellectual property, you and AfterSunday agree to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its applicable rules, seated in Los Angeles County, California.

Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class-Action Waiver

You and AfterSunday agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims.

Opt-Out

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing info@aftersunday.church with the subject “Arbitration Opt-Out” and your account details.

If you opt out, or where arbitration does not apply, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If any portion of this Section is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Nothing here limits rights you may have that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Apple & Google App-Store Terms

These additional terms apply when you obtain the App through the Apple App Store or Google Play:

• This agreement is between you and AfterSunday only, not Apple or Google. AfterSunday, not the app stores, is solely responsible for the App and its content.
• Maintenance & support: AfterSunday is solely responsible for any maintenance and support; Apple and Google have no obligation to provide it.
• Warranty: To the extent the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any; otherwise AfterSunday is responsible for warranty claims to the extent required by law.
• Claims: AfterSunday, not the app stores, is responsible for addressing claims relating to the App, including product-liability, legal-compliance, and intellectual-property claims.
• Third-party beneficiary: Apple and Google, and their subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
• Legal compliance: You represent that you are not located in an embargoed country or on a prohibited-parties list, and that you will comply with applicable export and usage laws.

Changes & Contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide notice in the App. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
